ONE OF THE LONGEST CANOR IN THE ALPS
Let yourself be fascinated by the legendary gorge in St. Johann im Pongau. The approximately 4,000-meter-long gorge attracts visitors from all over the world every year. The Liechtensteinklamm is in some places up to 300 meters deep and partly only a few meters wide. The gorge is viewed over wooden bridges and at the end is a romantic waterfall.
To such a mystical place many stories and legends were told. Thus the legend of the St. Johanner Liechsteinklamm tells us that a long time ago a farmer had negotiated ineptly with the devil. The peasant from St. Johann wanted to bring the devil to bring the Gasteiner healing springs to St. Johann. As payment, the farmer would give his wife the devil. This had to happen until the next morning. Stunned by the farmer's wife, she dived the cock into the spring water before the next day. Full of anger, the devil realized that he had lost the weather, he broke the springs into the depths of the rocks - so no one could get the water.
The Lichtenstein is open every day from the beginning of May to the end of September.
at "Hochgrüneck" hike on 1.808 meters

You can see this hiking route as an addition to the Vogei hut hike or you can drive with the car (about 30 minutes from the hotel Brückenwirt) to the starting point Hahnbaumalm. The difficulty of the route is to settle in the middle area and takes from the starting point about 3 hours.

It is an ideal challenge for mountain bikers as well as for casual hikers. Past grazing cows and calves, walk along a sunny ridge. Arrived at the cottage you are warmly welcomed by the host Alex. Do not miss the Brettljause and order a "Meiselspoaß" cocktail for the sunset.
